Traditional Hummus
Ingredients:
- 2 cups garbanzo beans or Chickpeas soaked and cooked
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons tahini paste
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup baby spinach (optional)
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika for garnish
Directions:
- In a food processor, combine beans or chickpeas, garlic, tahini, olive oil, and spinach.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add lemon juice and sea salt. Process until mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Sprinkle with a garnish of paprika and chopped parsley.
Serve with Lebanese bread or use as a dip vegetable sticks and wholewheat crackers.
