Traditional Hummus

Traditional Hummus

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups garbanzo beans or Chickpeas soaked and cooked
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons tahini paste
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach (optional)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika for garnish

 

Directions:
  1. In a food processor, combine beans or chickpeas, garlic, tahini, olive oil, and spinach.

 

  1. Blend until smooth.

 

  1. Add lemon juice and sea salt. Process until mixture is completely smooth and creamy.

 

  1. Sprinkle with a garnish of paprika and chopped parsley.

 

Serve with Lebanese bread or use as a dip vegetable sticks and wholewheat crackers.
