Intentional Living: A Guide to Creating a More Meaningful Life

When you intentionally use your everyday life to bring about positive change in the lives of others, you can begin to live a life that matters.
~John C. Maxwell
In today’s fast-paced world, it can be easy to feel like we’re just going through the motions. We wake up, go to work, come home, and go to bed, without really taking the time to think about what we’re doing or why. But what if there was a way to live a more intentional life? A life that is full of meaning and purpose?
Intentional living is about making choices that are aligned with your values and goals. It’s about taking the time to figure out what’s important to you and then making decisions that reflect those values. It’s about living a life that is true to yourself, not just what society tells you you should be. Here are a few tips to get you started:
Take some time to reflect on your values. What’s important to you? What do you believe in? Once you have a good understanding of your values, you can start to make choices that align with them.
John C. Maxwell in his book Intentional Living said “ The sooner you know your why, the sooner you can shift your focus”

Set goals. What do you want to achieve in your life? Once you know what you want to achieve, you can start to make a plan to get there. In setting goals click HERE for our goal setting guide for effective goal setting.

Be mindful of your time. How are you spending your time? Are you spending it on things that are important to you or on things that are just filling up your time? Make a conscious effort to spend your time on things that are meaningful to you.

Say no. It’s okay to say no to things that you don’t want to do. Don’t feel obligated to do things just because someone asks you to.

Take care of yourself. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and exercising regularly. When you take care of yourself, you’re better able to focus on the things that are important to you.
Intentional living is not always easy, but it is definitely worth it. When you live a life that is intentional, you’re more likely to be happy and fulfilled. You’re also more likely to make a positive impact on the world. When you purposefully set intentions, you take responsibility for the outcome. Instead of letting the world decide for you, you become the author of your own destiny and decide what you wish to create in your life.
So what are you waiting for? Start living a more intentional life today!
